Over the last eleven years the College has reduced its carbon footprint by an impressive 61 per cent by implementing a whole raft of green policies.

These include installing biomass boilers, air source heat pumps, recycled plastic roads, rainwater harvesting, solar panels, electric cars, waterless urinals and stopping the sale of plastic bottles on campus, to name but a few. The College has also been raising awareness around out students and staff, influencing and encouraging them to adapt their behaviours towards having a positive impact on the environment.

And the list is rapidly growing. With the recent launch of the College's Climate Emergency Action Plan, the College is gearing up for even greater challenges. Here's Head of Estates, Billy Grace

"This Scottish Public Service Award is a great motivation for the next stage of our sustainability journey. We're delighted to be recognised for the work we have done so far, but our success has only made us more determined as we embark on our path to net zero.

Dundee & Angus College
