We are contacting you to make a special request to ask for a raffle prize for our Heal Riverside 4km/2km Race evening on 5th September at 6:30pm.
Each year, we choose a charity to support and this year all profits from our fundraising will go to Ataxia UK {www.ataxia.org.uk}. 10,500 people in the UK have ataxia which is a progressive neurological condition that disrupts the messages sent from our brains to our muscles that are used to move, speak, listen, and see.
Ataxia UK funds research into finding treatments and provides support to patients and their families until they are found. Heal co-director Sally’s daughter has Friedreich’s Ataxia and therefore Heal is delighted to support the work of this wonderful charity.
Your support would be appreciated, and we will advertise your donation through our social media channels and on race information.
We would also be delighted if you can join us for the race itself. Come along, join in or just support those who are participating. It’s always a fun evening with prizes awarded after the race at our Heal clinic along with refreshments (we promise excellent cakes!)
