Get ready for International Trade Week 2023

This year, International Trade Week (ITW) will take place from 6 to 10 November with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) promising a variety of activities for companies such as events, workshops and webinars.

“Whether you’re looking to secure your first export contract or expand your existing international sales, ITW will have something for you,” the DBT said. “The week’s activities are for UK companies of all sizes and sectors — whether selling goods or services — you just need an interest in growing your business.”

Any organisations delivering in-person or online events on international trade are being invited to hold it during the Week as it will then benefit from the added exposure of being part of the official programme.

Further information for those wishing to take up this offer is available by contacting itwsupport@businessandtrade.gov.uk.

Having attended last year’s events, Grace Olugbodi, Founder and Owner of Easy Maths Skills, said: “By attending ITW 2022, I have been able to identify more partners that could drive additional revenue. My advice to other business owners considering trading internationally is to seize the opportunity. You could potentially be missing out on revenue from international markets, which can sometimes be easier to secure than revenue from home.”

This year, the DBT has said that ITW will aim to develop firms’ exporting knowledge and skills, showcase the wide-ranging support available, highlight global export opportunities, explain the benefits of the UK’s trade agreements and provide access to experts in international trade.
