11 March 2015:  As the imperative for businesses to tackle the social and environmental challenges in Scotland and beyond increases, Scottish Business in the Community [SBC] is launching a nationwide search for private sector businesses, small and large, to enter the SBC Awards. Businesses need to demonstrate their positive impacts if they want to be competitive now and in the future and these Awards help recognise best practice in Scotland that creates a fairer society and a more sustainable future.

This is an open call for all private sector businesses to apply. Entry to the SBC Awards is via http://awards.sbcscot.com and the deadline for applications is Monday 30 March 2015.

SBC, Scotland’s leading organisation in responsible business practices, is appealing to businesses across Scotland that realise the importance and impact they have in their communities and wider society to enter the annual SBC Awards.

The Awards are a unique opportunity for businesses to be recognised for their achievements by their peers, customers, employees and relevant stakeholders.

Jane Wood, CEO of Scottish Business in the Community, believes the SBC Awards are a superb opportunity for businesses to showcase all the good work they are doing and reflect positively on the last twelve months:

“The Awards bring the inspiring work of businesses across the country to light, and give Scotland the chance to celebrate the positive difference they make to their communities and the wider world. When a business is shortlisted and wins an Award you can take it from us that they have more than earned it.”
