April’s event took us to the NHS Tayside’s Children’s Hospital situated within Ninewells in Dundee.

RBS Explorers heard from Lesley McLay, NHS Tayside Chief Executive, about the extraordinary work the staff in the Children’s hospital make to children’s lives every day.

The hospital’s Paediatric Consultant Anaesthetist and Paediatric Surgeon informed attendees of the clinical difference a new theatre suite will make to the hospital facilities. Attendees then heard from the ARCHIE Foundation, the official charity of Tayside Children\'s Hospital on their current fundraising activities in order to raise money to facilitate this new theatre.

The ARCHIE Foundation is working hard to make a big difference for every child in Tayside. No matter whether injured in an accident or a long-term patient fighting cancer, many local children have operations in Tayside Children\'s Hospital and they want to transform that experience.

RBS Explorers happen on a regular basis throughout the year please do try come along and tell us about your business and make new connections.
