For some of us it’s the dream, for some it’s the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and for some it’s just a better day. We are all looking for something.
At the moment for many of us, Oor Wullie is what’s being looked for! It’s great to see so many people young and old, on the bucket trail.
Jim was on the bucket trail in Broughty Ferry looking for Oor Wullie. He knew that there was a photo to be had, but he had to wait because the clouds were heavy and obscuring the evening sun. From experience he knew that the sun would break through and when it did it would be amazing.
He knew that the clouds would part, so he waited, and waited, and waited a bit more. And finally it happened. Worth the wait don’t you think? Thanks Jim, for knowing that the sun would shine and having the patience to hang in there, until it did. We are all the richer for it, and for your generosity in sharing your great photo with us all.
The photo really caught my imagination when I saw it. But the story of how Jim took it equally so.
For knowing that the sun is shining, even behind the darkest clouds.
For the patience to wait long enough in the right place doing the right thing for persevering.
And for the “Wullie-ngness” to share the moment when it came!
An inspiration for us all to persevere when the clouds of life are heavy.
