Overgate in Dundee has confirmed Frankie & Benny’s, the Italian-American themed restaurant chain, will officially open on Monday 19th September.
The new 145 seat capacity restaurant is located on the ground floor of the centre, in the unit previously occupied by WH Smith, and its opening has led to the creation of 30 jobs.
Frankie & Benny’s is one of the UK’s biggest and most popular food chains, with over 200 locations across the country. Its instantly recognisable neon sign, bustling family-friendly ‘F&Bulous’ atmosphere, warm inviting interior which features a 1950s Italian-American theme, retro artifacts and booths for larger parties, along with authentic Italian-American food at affordable prices, has made the brand a standout hospitality success story.
The opening of Frankie & Benny’s is the second major restaurant to open in Overgate in less than a year, following the Five Guys burger chain launch in November. Sportswear giant Footasylum also opened a new store in the centre last month with the creation of 18 jobs.
Speaking ahead of next week’s opening, Malcolm Angus, Centre Manager, Overgate said,
