Perth Racecourse is launching its first ever Early Bird ticket offer to give customers maximum value for money. The offer is available from today (Friday 18 November) and is valid for all of the 15 fixtures when the purchase is made online from now until early 2017.

Full price tickets ordinarily range from £18-£25 (Concessions £10) and the Early Bird offer saves £3 off each ticket.

Hazel Peplinski, Perth Racecourse Chief Executive explained: “In 2016 we experienced an 11% increase in turnstile revenue. We want to build on this momentum by offering even better value to our loyal racegoers.  In my first year at the helm I have been blown away by the commitment of Perth’s audience; attending in droves even through some of the worst Scottish weather. As a racecourse, our ultimate goal is to entertain and as such we wish as many people as possible to enjoy the quality race days that the team work hard throughout the year to deliver.”

Plans for the 2017 season are already well underway and the thriving new hotel, The Lodge at Perth Racecourse is creating a real hub on site.  The Conference and Banqueting business and Christmas party bookings have all benefited from the new conveniently-located 26 bedroom lodge on the doorstep.

2017 will be the first full season to kick off with unrestricted use of the state of the art stable block and accommodation complex which in tandem have already been credited with boosting the quantity and quality of runners gracing the Scone parklands.

The stable staff have already given strong feedback on the improved equine logistics involved in bringing horses to Perthshire enabled by the new facilities.  George McGrath, CEO of National Association of Stable Lads stated on a recent visit: “Perth has raised the bar with their facilities for other tracks to follow. We all expect a decent standard of living currently and Perth have easily surpassed this.”

The 2017 race programme is currently being shaped with a generous £850,000 prize-money fund earmarked which should entice the return of household names such as Willie Mullins, Gordon Elliot, David Pipe and Nigel Twiston-Davies to compete regularly.

The strong traditional fixtures are already confirmed for 2017, The Perth Festival in April, Ladies Day in May, The Gold Cup in June, Family Day in July, the Saturday Carnival in August and the Glorious Finale in September.

So with a jam packed season ahead, organisers are urging race goers to act fast and take advantage of the Early Bird offer for what is set to be Perth Racecourses’ best season yet.
