Over 60 representatives from leading local businesses visited the Hillcrest Group of Companies’ HQ in Dundee on Wednesday night for an evening of food, fact finding and thoroughly good conversation.
Delivered in partnership with Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce (DACC), the Summer Social at Hillcrest HQ event provided networking opportunities and a delicious BBQ before guiding attendees on a golden trail through Hillcrest HQ.
Hillcrest Group of Companies Chief Executive, Angela Linton said: “As it is our 50th birthday we were delighted to work with the Chambers to host an extremely enjoyable event that celebrated our golden anniversary.
“Offering a special insight into the extra initiatives Hillcrest has in place for staff, the golden trail gave our guests an insight into Investors in People Gold, getting staff active, making health and safety fun, and the benefits of an electric pool car.
“In addition to celebrating our anniversary, the event was also a great opportunity to speak with the many interesting people working within local businesses.
“I would like to extent my gratitude to Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce, Arnolds Catering and Scott Brothers for cooking and supplying the delicious BBQ, and to the people who were able to attend; we will hopefully get the chance to work together soon."
The celebratory mood was lifted even further by The Dundee Gin Company, who hosted a special gin tasting.
The local drinks company was raising funds at the event for Dundee Bairns and Move On, two of Hillcrest's charities they are supporting this year.
DACC CEO, Alison Henderson said: “We are delighted to support Hilcrest and their 50th anniversary celebrations. They are a prominent local organisation who are a key part of the regions economy. It is great for us to be able to bring so many of our members to hear about their successes and see behind the scenes of their impressive headquarters.”
