Milne Wealth Management expands

A move of office premises to Dundee’s Technology Park offered Milne Wealth Management a number of opportunities which we were keen to take advantage of. Firstly, we now part-own the building we operate from and this provided a great investment opportunity as well as removing the need for us to rent. The Financial Planning business has been growing and this has had a knock on effect on Milne Estate Planning, enabling us to continue giving our clients a holistic view of all of their financial needs, while ensuring that their succession plans work effectively and no stone is left unturned when it comes to how clients want to protect their assets and take care of their families after their passing.

We are now in the process of recruiting another Financial Adviser as well as an additional administrative assistant to lighten the load on Sam, PA and Office Manager, who does an amazing job of running things and looking after the clients’ more simple requests.

With all of this in mind, we wanted to ensure the office was a welcoming place to be and part of the focus was the additional meeting room space, which became something of a ‘project’. After a few weeks and a little creative thought (who said Elaine wasn't creative?), this particular room now has its very own identity. We call it ‘Six Meetings’, simply because we focused on the 6 most common types of meeting, which we think are Problem Solving Meetings, Information Sharing Meetings, Decision Making Meetings, Status Update Meetings, Innovation Meetings and Team Building Meetings. Co-incidentally, the space takes a maximum of 6 people. Not only do we now have a lovely space for our own use, but we will be making it available for rent to the wider business community from 4th September.

We wanted to offer a space that's a little different to the normal offering for a business meeting. Hotel receptions or coffee shops tend not to be private and can be noisy. Hotel meeting rooms can be expensive to rent and costs can spiral with the addition of teas, coffees, AV equipment and the like.

So, we offer Six Meetings on an all inclusive basis. You can hold your meeting in peace and quiet and have not only free wi-fi access, but use of an internet enabled TV, flipchart, pads, pens and refreshments, all included in the price.
