The Bi-Annual Steam Weekend Returns to Dundee Museum of Transport

Dundee Museum of Transport is happy to announce that the bi-annual steam Weekend returns to the Museum this weekend, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th April 2018.

Building on the success of the previous events, the museum at Market Street, Dundee is expected to be at capacity with plenty to keep visitors occupied.

Including a miniture railway, there will be numerous working models which have been faithfully restored and constructed by dedicated hobbyists all over Scotland. The Museum will also be running its popular 'Tea's on the Bus' from 11am to 3pm both days.

Dundee Museum of Transport's Chairman, Jimmy McDonell said,

'We are delighted to be welcoming the bi-annual Steam Weekend back at the museum once more. It's always a fantastic event for all the family, regardless of the weather, and a great start to our busy programme of 2018 events.'

All the action begins on Saturday 7th April and runs through the weekend from 10.30am and 3.30pm each day. Admission is £5 for adults (16+), £4 Concession, and £2.50 for children, with under 5's Free. A discounted family ticket is also available (2 adults, 2 under 16's) at £12. Tickets also include full access to the museum.

Dundee Museum of Transport

Dundee Museum of Transport was established in 2010 with the aim of saving and re-developing the site of the former Maryfield Tram Depot. The Museum, currently situated on Market Street in Dundee, opened in 2014 and has become a popular attraction among the City's thriving heritage scene.
