Coca-Cola 5by20 shares the love as another graduate is set to launch her business. Founder and Owner Zoe Forbes, the visionary behind Sweetpea Café is set to open the doors to the public on Monday 3rd September, in the popular seaside town of Broughty Ferry.

Zoe is amongst the 60 out of 86 female entrepreneurs who have launched their business since participating in the Dundee Coca-Cola 5by20 programme, which launched in Dundee less than 2 years ago. Her story speaks for its self.

This young female entrepreneur, clearly saw her vision at 8 years old. This beautiful painting may look like a typical vase of flowers but for Zoe it was much much more! Little did Zoe know that during the Coca-Cola 5by20 Fast Track to Business Success Course, created by Programme Director, Angie Foreman, that her childhood vision would resurface allowing her creative energy to flow.

As a trained chef, Zoe is not afraid of hard work; the long shifts, early starts and late nights were necessary for Zoe to work out exactly what she did and didn’t want.  Keeping her vision close to her heart, Zoe knew that one day she would be the proud owner of her own Café & Cake Shop.

As we all know, to make things happen we must take action and Zoe did exactly this. After meeting the Programme Director, Angie Foreman, Zoe signed up for the Trail Blazing one-week-and-a-day business programme called Fast Track to Business Success. This is an industry designed and led business programme for women that boast incredible results.

Zoe embraced this opportunity wholeheartedly. It was the during the marketing session, led by Mike Costello and Russell Roebuck from with Social Stork that Zoe’s Vision came to life - Sweetpea Café was born, what's more, after having many fun discussions around tag lines, Zoe came up with one that toped the lot!  ‘Blooming Delicious’!  As they say, the proof is in the pudding, and having tasted her floral themed cakes and ‘to die for brownies’ this tag line fits perfectly!

This was reiterated on day 6 of the programme where Zoe pitched her business support needs to a 10 strong panel of experts. Each panel member was so impressed with Zoe’s business vision and product that they each gave her advice, their time, contacts and support all of which has helped her get to where she is now.

After only 5 months of taking part in the Coca Cola 5by20 Programme which runs in partnership with Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce, Zoe will open the doors to Sweetpea Café, Brook Street, Broughty Ferry, Dundee on Monday 3rd September. I have no doubt that this will be the first of my Sweatpea Cafes for Zoe. We wish her all the best and look forward to popping in for some ‘blooming Delicious’ cake!

The next Coca-Cola 5by20 Fast Track to Business Success programme begins on October 29th. Application deadline is Friday 5th October. If you are interested to find out more contact: angieforeman@dundeeandanguschamberofcommerce.co.uk
