Launched in February 2018, OOVIRT are a Dundee based tech company that are seeking to improve the lives of over 13 million people living in the UK with a disability.

The company was borne out the frustration that in a digital age, many businesses are still not providing the accurate and essential information many of their customers are looking for.

The company uses the latest in VR technology to enhance accessibility and inclusion by providing interactive and immersive customer journey maps to any business or destination. OOVIRT’s new platform being launched in early 2019 will help any destination adopt their approach to providing clear and transparent accessibility information that helps improve the customer experience.

Richard Meiklejohn, managing director at OOVIRT, said: “Research has shown that disabled people, their families and friends, believe many venues could do more to help disabled people access the information they need. It benefits wheelchair users, older people and those living with autism amongst others to know exactly how accessible a venue or destination will be for them.  We use first hand experiences to provide the quality accessibility information that will make their visit more enjoyable, whether it’s to a shopping centre, museum or football stadium”
