Museum Talk: Bridgescapes - Scotland's Bridge Building Heritage

Dundee Museum of Transport will host a fascinating talk this coming Wednesday 22nd May, 6pm, titled "Bridgescapes - A Journey Through Scotland's Bridge Building Heritage" by author L. Bruce Keith. 

Bruce Keith published "Bridgescapes" in 2017 to coincide with the opening of the Queensferry Crossing. The book is a journey through history, celebrating Scotland's architectural heritage and the achievements of engineers and architects that created the country's road, rail and canal networks. Bruce Keith's talk is the first in a series of transport themed talks to be held in the museum this summer, with other subjects including Dundee Corporation Buses, the history of P.S Ridgway and the Dundee - Arbroath Railway Line.

Dundee Museum of Transport

Dundee Museum of Transport was established in 2010 with the aim of saving and re-developing the site of the former Maryfield Tram Depot. The Museum, currently situated on Market Street in Dundee, opened in 2014 and has become a popular attraction among the City's thriving heritage scene.
