P&J Live, the iconic new events venue opening in Aberdeen later this month, has secured Stagecoach North Scotland as its official transport partner. The major bus operator is the third confirmed partner at the venue after DC Thomson Media was announced as naming rights partner and John Clark Motor Group as car partner.
As official transport partner, Stagecoach will work closely with P&J Live to provide services to make it as easy as possible for those travelling to and from the venue.
From today, Stagecoach will operate their JET 727 service via P&J Live. The service operates between Union Square in the heart of Aberdeen city centre and Aberdeen Airport, calling at key destinations such as Broad Street, Great Northern Road, Bucksburn and now, P&J Live. The service, which runs up to every 10 minutes, was recently enhanced to offer journeys around the clock, operating every hour from 10.30pm until 3.30am.
The Jet 727 was previously awarded as the Best Bus Service in Scotland and is operated by a fleet of luxury double deck buses fully kitted out with contactless payment facilities, luggage racks, USB charging and free wi-fi. Great value fares are available on the service, with unlimited travel across Aberdeen Zone 1 for just £3.80 per day or £12.85 per week.
As well as regular 24/7 services to P&J Live, as part of the partnership, Stagecoach will also operate direct shuttle services from Aberdeen City Centre to P&J Live on event days. Details of these shuttles will be communicated before each event, and the shuttles will offer quick, convenient and great value travel to concert-goers.
There’s also some good news for those planning to come to the Preview @ P&J Live event this Saturday, with Stagecoach offering free bus journeys on service 727 to and from the venue, on presentation of a mobile event ticket.
