Get Digital at Dundee Science Festival

From flight simulations to Lego Mindstorms, the digital world will be switched on in style during the final weekend of Dundee Science Festival.

‘Wee Wans and Zeroes’, running from 10am until 5pm on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 October, will showcase a host of digital and gaming gadgets and activities which are transforming our everyday lives.

On Saturday, visitors will get the chance to build their own computers from scratch, with help from Alistair Grant from the University of Edinburgh. Explore diver-less car technology, space junk and renewables with Lego robotics activities with Skills Development Scotland.

NEoN Digital will be delivering climate related workshops, combining digital and art. Artwork by Abertay University postgraduate students, commissioned by NEoN Digital, will be on show, highlighting the climate crisis through digital gaming. 

On Sunday, University of Dundee’s Aeronautical Society will be joining Dundee Science Festival showcasing flight simulator activities and discussing drones. Dundee Science Centre will also be showing some technological innovations including augmented reality t-shirts, robotics, 3D printing and 3D scanning.
