Fair Trade Campaigning in the Climate Crisis

Published

Angus is a Fair Trade zone and we are committed to supporting third world producers to get a fair deal.

As awareness, concern and response to the climate crisis escalates, Fair Trade is more important than ever and we need communities in Angus to campaign for it.

Fair Trade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. It enables them to improve their position and have more control over their lives.

Come along to an Awareness Raising session at the VAA, The Cross, Forfar, DD8 1BX on Wednesday, 20 November. It’s open to all and runs between 2pm and 3.30pm.

Colleen Tait from the Scottish Fair Trade Forum will explain how and why it’s important to Campaign for Fair Trade in the Climate Crisis.

Places are limited, so please book by email via CLDCarnoustie@angus.gov.uk
