New Community Planning Hub will enhance partnership working
A new shared space within the new Voluntary Action Angus (VAA) headquarters aims to give partners across Angus an opportunity to increase engagement and partnership working.
Community Planning Partners (CPP) bring public, private, community and voluntary organisations together to deliver more joined-up services across Angus. The CPP meet quarterly and work closely in a virtual space throughout the year.
The new hub at The Cross in Forfar, will provide partners with a physical space to develop partnership projects and support front line work.
Initial tests of this approach were carried out in October as part of the Child Poverty work with great effect therefore this change to the way partners work together is exciting and presents many opportunities.
Grant Ritchie Chair of the Community Planning Board said: “It will be great for the partnership to have space to meet regularly and to act as a focus for our growing activity across Angus.”
Gary Malone Chief Executive of Voluntary Action Angus said: “This is a great move forward for our Community Planning Partnership and is a significant opportunity for partners to work together to support communities. VAA are delighted to have the CPP based in the building as part of a new way of delivering services here in Angus.”
