Amazon boss to deliver climate fund parcel

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has pledged to funnel £7.7bn of his personal fortune into a new fund aimed at tackling climate challenges.

The ‘Bezos Earth Fund’ will begin issuing grants this summer to projects working to “amplify known ways” and “explore new ways” of mitigating and adapting to climate impacts.

Organisations eligible for funding include not only innovators and small businesses, but scientific and academic researchers, NGOs and activist groups also. Edie reports that funding will be open globally.

Circular Tayside is an initiative that: Raises awareness of the circular economy, the role the local businesses have to play in it, and how they will benefit. Supports individual businesses as they begin to identify and implement new and innovative approaches to businesses that support a transition to a circular economy Brings together a group of Circular Tayside Ambassadors who will be leaders in their sectors and champions of the circular economy.
