Programme Manager walks in circles to support unique training programme

The Manager of a Dundee-based training programme for social entrepreneurs is taking part in this weekend’s virtual Kiltwalk to raise money to support the programme’s candidates.

Alvina Menzies, Academy Manager at The Circle Dundee, will be virtually doing the ‘Wee Wander’ on Sunday 13th September. The money she raises will contribute to the costs of a candidate placement on the programme to benefit a young adult in the Dundee area.

The Circle Academy is a 12-week programme focused on developing skills and knowledge in the following key areas; mindset, business model, finance, legal, governance, people, social impact and sustainability through multiple income streams.

Aptly named ‘Walking in Circles’, the route will take Alvina to the locations of a number of ventures started up and developed by previous candidates on the Academy programme. She will be starting at The Circle’s premises on Staffa Place and then making pit stops at St Mary’s Community Larder, Alexander Community Development, Wellbeing Works, Studio 11 at WASPS studios and finally The Little Green Larder.
