Scottish all-trades contractor, McGill, continue to grow after securing another large contract with long-standing clients, Govanhill Housing Association.
McGill, who have built up a strong working relationship with the west coast housing association, have been awarded a new contract, to complete housing repairs and refurbishment works in 52 properties, worth £2.3million.
The contract, the latest in a number of contracts awarded by Govanhill Housing Association to McGill since the contractor was rescued from administration by investment group, United Capital, last year, includes internal refurbishment of flats, replacement of windows, kitchens and bathrooms plus common repairs to external walls and roofs.
McGill Operations Director, Chris Ferriday commented; “We are delighted to have been awarded another significant contract. Govanhill Housing Association is an important client for McGill and we are excited to be extending our working relationship. Our teams work extremely hard to deliver exceptional levels of workmanship and this contract award is testament to their efforts and dedication.
Govanhill Housing Association and McGill have a long-standing relationship having completed several multi-million-pound contracts, similar to this new one. In August 2019 McGill re-opened its Govanhill depot after being awarded a £2.6million contract with the housing association.
Chris Ferriday continued; “As part of these contracts we have not only been able to recruit locally and provide much needed jobs within the Govanhill area, but we have also been able to support a number of the association’s community projects. Our team and I are looking forward to continuing our relationship.”
