Nominations Open for the Chamber Business Awards 2021

Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce (DACC) have today opened nominations for the 2021 Chamber Business Awards.

Considered one of the UK's most prestigious business awards, each year hundreds of high-performing companies are put forward for the specialist categories and compete for the coveted National Chamber Business Awards.

The Chamber Business Awards receive widespread interest as they are unique in identifying the very best in business from every region in the UK. The winners are the organisations and entrepreneurs that set the highest standards for others to follow across a wide range of sectors.

  • The Game Changer – Entrepreneur of the year
  • The Global Player – Export business of the year
  • The Planet Saver – Green business of the year
  • The Problem Solver – Business diversification award
  • The Equality Trailblazer – Diversity and inclusion award

DACC are looking for high-performing companies and individuals that set the highest standards for others to follow across a wide range of sectors.  All nominated businesses will receive a ‘Chamber Business Awards Nominee’ stamp from their local Chamber of Commerce, which they can use on their website, social media and other marketing material.

Alison Henderson, DACC CEO said “Giving our members this national platform to showcase their businesses & expertise is hugely important.

The Covid pandemic has shown that many businesses thrive under the most difficult circumstances and we can really shine a light on the brilliant businesses in our region.

We know that so many local organisations have great stories to tell and I’d encourage everyone to have a look and get involved. “

Businesses have until Friday 10 September to make their nominations and can nominate themselves or a fellow business/entrepreneur. Only fully paid-up members of Accredited Chambers of Commerce can be entered into the Chamber Businesses Awards 2021.

DACC will have the opportunity to put forward just 1 nomination for each category from those shortlisted. The business being nominated will be chosen by a panel of judges, as well as a public vote.

Regional winners will be announced on Monday 8 November and national winners will be announced at a virtual event on Thursday 9 December. The programme builds on last year’s UK Business Heroes programme, enabling us to recognise some of the remarkable work businesses have done in this challenging year.
