McGill appointed to lighting solutions framework with new client Edinburgh Leisure

Dundee-based contractor McGill is delighted to announce that it has been appointed to a lighting framework by new client Edinburgh Leisure.

The charity, which operates around 30 venues across the capital, seeks to improve the health and wellbeing of people in the city, by providing them with opportunities to use physical activities to address their health challenges. With venues such as Edinburgh International Climbing Arena and the Royal Commonwealth Pool, as well as a range of leisure centres, golf courses, and sports complexes in their portfolio, the charity serves a wide range of users in the Lothians region.

With a focus on sustainability, Edinburgh Leisure needed to create a one-stop shop for lighting solutions. This framework will appoint McGill to review the current lighting systems across multiple venues, design an upgraded low-energy alternative, then supply and install the new lighting. This forms part of Edinburgh Leisure’s Green Plan, which aims to implement a series of initiatives designed to reduce the environmental impact of the charity overall.

McGill, which has recently completed its acquisition of The McDougall Group, increasing its Scotland-wide footprint and number of operatives, is delighted to have been appointed to the framework.
