North-east Scotland multi-award winning Sales Enablement Consultancy, Doqaru has added another honour to its trophy cabinet after being crowned Business of Excellence of the Year at the inaugural The Black Scottish Awards.
The Awards recognise individuals and organisations who have contributed significantly to Scotland in various fields. The event was also designed to provide a platform to inspire the next generation of Black Scottish leaders.
Doqaru Director and Chief Growth Officer, Dr Yekemi Otaru, attended the event and said, “This event means so much for the Black community in Scotland. We work hard, we build and grow, often without crucial support and representation. It was an honour to attend such a spectacular award ceremony. Doqaru’s recent success doesn’t end there. The business also secured a significant contract announced this week, supported by the Scottish Ecosystem Fund 2023-24. Sarah Downs, Co-founder and Chief Relationship Officer explains, “Doqaru will deliver a sales mastery programme for women startup entrepreneurs in Scotland. This contract win further solidifies our position as a forerunner in sales development for startups and scaleups, and we are excited to continue delivering exceptional value in the region.”
The Scottish Ecosystem Fund is aimed at ecosystem partners and intermediary organisations, who will work directly with entrepreneurs and start-ups to deliver opportunity-focused, innovative and inclusive entrepreneurship support. The sales mastery programme named ElevateHER aims to attract 30-35 women entrepreneurs in Scotland.
