Overgate Dundee announces fun Easter Campaign for families to celebrate the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland's 240th Anniversary

Overgate, Dundee is welcoming families to the flock this Easter with a fun campaign celebrating the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland’s 240th anniversary.

Hide & Sheep will see cuddly toy lambs hidden throughout the centre between today, Wednesday 27th March, and 14th April, 2024, with families invited to take part in an Easter hunt to find one.

The flock of cute lambs, identifiable by their RHASS neckerchief, will be popping up in random places across Overgate, with lucky children who find one gifted it to take home. What’s more, a QR code on the neckerchief of each toy lamb should be scanned to unlock the chance to win a VIP experience at the Royal Highland Show 2024.

This campaign in Overgate is not only fun for all the family, but also aims to educate on the important activity happening on farms during the spring period. A webpage containing educational agriculture facts for children and adults alike is also in place at www.royalhiglandshow.org.uk.

Karen Michie, Centre Supervisor, Overgate said:

“Overgate is delighted to be celebrating the 240th anniversary of the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland; the gold standard showcase of the country’s best food, farming and rural life.

“RHASS is for everyone who supports the best stewardship of our countryside, benefiting generations now, and in the future. Hide & Sheep will be both fun and educational and we look forward to welcoming families of all ages to take part in the campaign across Overgate this Easter.”
