As part of an increased range of International activity launched in 2017, we have been working with businesses who currently, or would like to, trade internationally. Whether that is a service that businesses provide globally, or whether it is shipping goods overseas, we want to make sure you know the Chamber are here to support you.
It is important that DACC has a mechanism to report to members and ensure the businesses of Dundee & Angus are being heard by Scottish Chambers of Commerce (SCC), British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), Scottish & UK governments.
In order to do this DACC has created an ‘International Trade Influencers Group’ which meets quarterly to discuss topical issues regarding International Trade, and the ongoing services being developed by the Chamber networks. This group will also help shape the ongoing support & services DACC offers its members, and give those in the group an opportunity to discuss and share their International connections with fellow importers/exporters.
Outwith the group, DACC contunues to develop International B2B & Chamber2Chamber connections along with increased International Market Development. This happens through work at SCC & BCC, and through the Tay Cities Trade & Investment Partnership.

Export Documentation Services
At the start of 2018, Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce became a British Chambers of Commerce Accredited Chamber and received our Issuing Body status from the Department of International Trade. In addition, we are now an agent of the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce. This means that we are now providing a full Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce export certification service for all export paperwork, and are delighted to be working with our export customers with an expanded internal team.
These services are available to all local businesses but DACC members enjoy a specific benefit: a 50% discount on cost of stamping and validating their export documents.
Hayley Kemp joined the team in the role of International Trade & Finance Assistant in August and, going forward, will be first point of contact for our Chamber’s International Documentation and Certification service, which currently supports circa 80 exporting companies. She will also champion the Chamber’s role in promoting and supporting businesses growing International Trade; supporting SME’S entering exporting for the first time; the expansion of business exporting into new countries/opportunities alongside further developing our International Chamber to Chamber connections.
